Wrapping Up the Semester

Well everyone, this is going to be my last blog post of the semester, so I’ll try to keep things short. But, need not worry, I’ll be back again in the Fall, ready to write as much as I can (or as much as people will listen)!

To be completely frank, these last few weeks I haven’t accomplished terribly much on my project. Or, at least, on paper I haven’t done much that I’m proud to boast about here. But, I have been planning for the coming Fall. So, I figured the most apt thing to do with this post would be to explain my upcoming plans for the final four months of my undergraduate thesis.

As I’ve mentioned in my other posts, this semester was all about planning. I was creating an outline for myself and for my project. And only after an entire semester of work has this outline been completed. I wanted to determine all of my problems and solve them before facing them next semester. Naturally, this was not the easiest thing to do.

Now that I have this outline complete, I just need to fill in the details. That’s where the fun really starts. With my models and game play mechanics all at my disposal, next semester will be four months of pure creation. I can’t imagine anything better. I can use those models in any way I want. I get to record sounds and voice actors, creating a full-fledged story that I’ve had in my mind for ages now. I’ll be creating background music for my experience, building an MVP, and giving others a chance to experience something I’ve been hogging to myself this entire semester!

What could be better?
