Hey! My name is Samira Mantri I’m very excited to be the new Administrator at the NYU Future Reality Lab starting in January! This is my first post so I thought it would be great to introduce myself. I’m a senior at NYU majoring in computer science and minoring in game design. With my knowledge of these two subjects I’ve been able to work on VR projects at the lab as well as other games. My current project in particular explores the ways in which VR can be used to relax the mind after a stressful day in our busy world. Though I’ve experienced other areas of computer science, I am greatly interested in its possibilities with regards to AR and VR technology. Beyond the games that are made for these platforms, there are a multitude of other possibilities that I hope to explore. Therefore, I know that working at the Future Reality Lab is exactly where I need to be!
